Happy Holidays

December 20, 2018

I’m reminded today of the movie It’s a Wonderful Life. I think we have all seen the movie. It’s a story about George Bailey, who resides in the fictional town of Bedford Falls and runs the family business, the Building and Loan.

Early in the film George expresses a desire to pursue his fortune outside of Bedford Falls. He has plans and dreams of great things to come, elsewhere. But, through a series of events aided by chance, fate, or providence, George finds himself in situations where he puts the interests of others before his plans to pursue his dreams. And so his life unfolds, always in Bedford Falls and always at the Building and Loan.

Spoiler alert. George is given a frightening supernatural gift: a vision of life minus his contributions to the world. He never accumulates wealth, but he vividly learns he has been blessed by something far greater—friends and family who care deeply for him.

The story of George Bailey is a reminder to me of what the holiday season is all about:

  • Gratitude
  • Generosity
  • Joy
  • Peace
  • Optimism

I wish every reader a joyous season filled with health, joy, love, family and laughter.

Thank you to my friends and clients who have blessed me with the chance to help good people reach important goals. It is my fervent prayer that I can make the world just a bit better than I found it.
